Terms of Service

1. We are a platform, not the seller

CarsBaltic is an intermediary — an online noticeboard. We do not own, sell, inspect or take part in the items or transactions advertised. Every deal is made directly between the buyer and the seller, off the platform. We are not a party to any sale and are not responsible for the goods, their quality, safety or legality, or for the conduct of users.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CarsBaltic. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally permitted to sell or advertise the items you list.

3. Listings

• Each listing must describe a real item that you own or have the right to sell.
• Photos must be of the actual item — stock images or photos of a different item are not permitted.
• Prices must be in EUR and reflect a genuine asking price.
• Listings must be placed in the correct category and must not contain fraudulent, misleading, illegal or offensive content.
• Free accounts are limited to 10 active listings at a time.
• Listings expire automatically after 30 days. You may repost at any time.

4. Prohibited content and uses

You may not use CarsBaltic to:

• Advertise illegal goods or services — including stolen items, weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods or anything whose sale is restricted by law.
• Post items with altered or falsified identifiers (for example a tampered VIN).
• Defraud other users or misrepresent an item’s condition.
• Send spam or automated messages, or harass other users.
• Scrape, crawl or systematically extract data from the platform.
• Create multiple accounts to get around listing limits or a suspension.

5. Reporting illegal content (Digital Services Act)

In line with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), you can report any listing you believe is illegal or breaches these Terms by emailing hello@carsbaltic.com. We review such reports, act on illegal content by removing it, and inform the affected parties where required by law.

6. Paid promotion (boosts)

Posting a listing is free. Optional paid promotions make a listing more visible and are processed by Paysera:

• Highlight: €4.99 for 7 days.
• Top of category: €9.99 for 7 days.
• Homepage featured: €19.99 for 7 days.
• Full bundle: €24.99 for 14 days.

Boosts are non-refundable once activated. If a listing is removed for a Terms violation after a boost has been applied, no refund is issued.

7. Content ownership

You keep ownership of the photos and descriptions you upload. By posting content, you grant CarsBaltic a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display and distribute that content as part of operating the marketplace. We will not sell your content to third parties.

8. Moderation & removal

We may remove any listing or suspend any account that violates these Terms. We aim to notify you by email where practical, and you may appeal a decision by replying to that email.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is”. We do not verify the accuracy of listings, inspect items, or guarantee the quality, safety or legality of anything advertised. All transactions are between buyer and seller. We strongly recommend inspecting an item in person and running the relevant checks before you buy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarsBaltic and MB Rinvestify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including losses arising from transactions between users.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Lithuanian courts — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
