Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CarsBaltic ("the Service"), operated by CarsBaltic ("we", "our", "us") at carsbaltic.com. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CarsBaltic. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally permitted to sell or advertise the vehicles you list.

2. Listings

• Each listing must describe a real vehicle that you own or have authority to sell.
• Photos must be of the actual vehicle being sold — stock photos or images of other cars are not permitted.
• Prices must be in EUR and reflect the genuine asking price.
• Listings may not contain fraudulent, misleading, or offensive content.
• Free accounts are limited to 10 active listings at a time.
• Listings are automatically expired after 30 days. You may repost at any time.

3. Prohibited Uses

You may not use CarsBaltic to:

• Post listings for stolen vehicles or vehicles with altered VIN numbers
• Engage in fraudulent transactions or misrepresent a vehicle's condition
• Send spam, automated messages, or harass other users
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent listing limits
• Post listings for non-vehicle items

4. Payments & Boosts

Optional paid services (Bump, Featured 7 days, Featured 30 days) are processed by Stripe. Payments are non-refundable once the service has been activated. If a listing is removed for a Terms violation after a paid boost is applied, no refund will be issued.

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of photos and descriptions you upload. By posting content, you grant CarsBaltic a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display and distribute that content as part of operating the marketplace. We will not sell your content to third parties.

6. Moderation & Removal

We reserve the right to remove any listing or suspend any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice. We are not obligated to explain moderation decisions, though we aim to communicate them by email where practical.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

CarsBaltic is a marketplace platform — we do not verify the accuracy of listings, inspect vehicles, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any vehicle advertised. All transactions are between the buyer and seller. We strongly recommend in-person inspection and VIN history checks before purchasing.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarsBaltic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service — including losses arising from transactions between users.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Latvia.
